KiwitagNelson considers itself to be an off-season training platform for league and anyone else wanting to have fun and keep fit.

Anyone who is part of KiwitagNelson and is interested in League or coaching League, we have a great opportunity coming up in October with the Head Coach of the Melbourne Storm SG ball team running coaching workshops in Christchurch, with our associate Club, Celebration Lions, over the weekend 08-10th October. Starting Friday night 5.30pm/ Sat 9am-4pm/Sun 1.30pm-4pm. We can organise accomodation etc. Let us know if you’re interested.

BASIC RUNDOWN: 8 players on the field at one time per team. Attached to each side of the players shorts is a strip of cloth known as the Tag. The object of the game is to score tries and the opposing team try and stop this by pulling off the strip of cloth, from the one with the ball – tagging the player. The team with the ball has 6 “plays” or “tags” to try and score or get close to the scoreline.  In Kiwitag you can kick the ball. For more in-depth understanding – click here or HERE.
